We can remind each other! I will never be the mother I would like to be, but God doesn’t expect perfection from me. He knows my frame as a mother too. That’s a comfort when I fail over and over again to love as He loves.

This story gives great perspective: What seems right (“good nutrition,” “waste”, etc.) isn’t always the most important thing at the moment. I’m praying for good “eyes” to see my kids.

This post come right alongside what I have been learning recently. My ladies’ bible study group is working through a book by Carolyn Mahaney, and she talks a lot about what kind of love we are supposed to have toward our children, and how that kind of love looks in every-day life. How convicting! As someone who was punished very much through my childhood, I always knew I wanted something better for my kids, but didn’t know what “it” was or how to find out. God’s Word is equipped to meet our every need!

We were given information about C Grace At Work by missionary colleagues who have stayed at the home. They loved it. We are missionaries with Baptist Mid-Missions in Jundiai, Brazil and our family will be returning to the States for furlough in Dec. of this year.
